The road is divided into two separated sections:
Section Ionia Odos, along the coast of the Ionian Sea, from Antirio to Ioannina: 159 km of new construction
Section Pathe, along the east coast, from the northern exit out of Athens to Skarfia on Maliakos Bay: 161,7 km in operation and 58 km will be built and transferred by the State.
